Agree. Just make sure when you use the R180 on the track to have a tube from the breather into the boot to stop it from dumping oil!

there is someone who has a kit/frame to suit retrofitting into earlier 1600 510 chassis?!

The main problem is that a long nosed diff forms a structural part of the whole rear x-member assembly. Short nosed don't (and can't) due to only having one set of mounting bolts at the front.

You need to build the structure into the x-member so that the x-member is "rigid" all the way from the outside mounting points through to the moustache bar mounts rather than using the diff to make it "rigid"

Not impossible, but I guess its a question of whether a new x-member can be built at a reasonable cost.

Having not really looked into exactly how much it costs to get a decent LSD I can only speculate here but surely if you made a setup like that in bulk, ready to go as a bolt-in kit you could make in financially appealing? A company like Datsport would surely have the resources and market to do this.

What is the cost of a new long nose LSD with the right CVs around 1200-1500 aud?
if a kit/frame can be had for $500-650 then shorty r200 units could be an option

I had my r200 already and had the new kaaz centre put in with new bearings and that cost $1700
