The scenario is I sold a pretty clean 180B wagon about a decade ago.
Its been one of those cars that got away, and always regretted selling.
I have purchased the car back, and shes been stored in some sad places over the years.
Collected a lot of dirt, leaves and grime in all the wrong places. Rust is the result
Luckily it had a rust treatment (spray on something on the inner panels) at some stage of its life otherwise it would have been a throw away car.
Aside from that, it is a mostly complete car with a good interior.
Majority of rust is in the front fenders, doors and bonnet...
Havent found any in chassis, or bottom of the sills yet.
There is a little bit of rust under one of the rear windows,
Havent started pulling it apart yet to see what other bonus rust I have inherited
Questions are,
-What 180B repo panels are available, and from where?
-Are doors from the sedan (front and rear) and bonnet compatible with wagon?
-Is anyone brave enough to state how much they paid someone else to do the body work on their car? Like a proper fecked car.
Im happy to pay someone to get this old girl going again, but have never paid anyone for panel work. Not sure what to expect, and just trying to figure out what sort of financial commitment I should be looking at.
I know its a how long is a ball of string question, but 5k, 10k, 20k.... What should I expect.
Also, any preferred datsun reto / panel shops in Adelaide??
