This thread is dedicated to all 610 owners.

A chance to show off your car and tell us a little about it. I decided to start this thread as I found there aren't many people talking about their 610's, and if you do find one their far and few in between. I feel this could help many people who are building or thinking of building/restoring a 610.

Ill start

I purchased the 610 in early 2009 from Melbourne and wasted no time getting into the build as I had my motor setup prior. I spent a full year putting it together and had the car registered and engineered within that year. However this didn't mean I stopped working on it, newer and better modifications always seem to come up but I feel as though I have my car at the stage I want. All that is left now is bodywork and paint which is in the pipeline :D.

Hey Super, nice 610. Ive got a soft spot for the old fj's.
The members rides section is not really meant for everyone to add their rides to just one topic tho, otherwise you wont be able to find individual members cars when needed.
Each member is best to make a new topic with their own builds as others have done already.
Theres a heap of 610 pics here though which is what i think you are trying to start anyway:

Hope this helps and keep us updated on your cars modifications along the way.
I look forward to seeing some skid vids etc. Cheers

Hey nick, Thanks for you input...

Quite the contrary, I have done many searches for posts of builds with 180b/610's over the years as I built mine and it does not appear that there are many. Im sure there's are a few Datsun lovers with modified 180b's out there.

The post you specified is great for pics, but not many are talking about the mods they have. I was hoping a post like this will get 610ers to give brief descriptions of their mods to instigate others in asking questions and from there hopefully more Datsun 180b/610 owners will post write ups in the members rides section. I totally agree with each member starting a new topic, Im just trying to bring them out of hiding.

Heres a skid vid as you requested

I'm new to forums so forgive me if I commit any faux pas.

I recently bought a very tidy 72 180b deluxe. Currently stock as a rock and far too slow! I thought I would socialise some ideas on forums to see if I can get some ideas and advice from the community. Here's whats on my mind:

1. The car is in SUCH good and original conditon, I wonder whether it's best not doing anything at all to it? Will it retain more value unmolested or is it ok to go to town on it?

2. Were I to go to town on it Im trying to decide between a slow and low cruiser, you know - on bags, black rims, white walls, blinds, visor and some nifty paint; or

3. Doing it right up to look fast and mean - lowered, cambered, shiny and loud; and finally

4. What type of engines I could look at swapping and pros cons for each option.

5. Also keen to understand whether a 13b brapper would work?? (Blasphemy I know)

I have about the mechanical knowledge it takes to change tires and fill it up  so any and all advice and guidance would be really appreciated! Are there any recommended performance datsun shops that could assist?
