Nice! That is an excellent power figure! How long with the diff hold up with that?

Cheers mate, not worried about the diff, got two spare ones. The std FJ20T gearbox is another story.

Just got under the car to confirm that the previous owner was right in saying the diff was an early 720 4x4 r180.
Which appears to be correct, so it should last a while(if we dont launch it too hard)

R180's should last and last. Just make sure when you hit the race track, the breather is plumbed into the boot up high with a filter.
Hard launches aren't to much of an issue. It's grip with slicks and launches that kills them. Hard launches with semi-slicks usually ends in wheelspin which is your safety!

Thanks for the info. IRS suspension and diffs are still fairly new to me. If it were a live axle borgy with a leaf pack or 4 link type deal I'd be no probs.

In all honesty, with the car being my 63yr old fathers car i don't think it will get tracked any time soon. He just wanted a tuff streeter.

Just checked the data from the 3 dyno pulls from the dyno day. We need to spend a bit to get any significant gain in power.
Fuel system seems to be fairly close to maxed out and the t3/t4 highflow seems to be maxed aswell(going by the boost map).
My tuner wants more but I don't think it's really worth it as close to 450hp in a 1600 is a push as it is on street tyres.
Might just enjoy what it has for a while.
