Been looking into GPS trackers on Ebay recently, found a few with good battery life that I am keen on but looks like the hard bit is finding one with a good Platform to view the data online. Has anyone bought one and can verify if any of these programs are any good or even work, lots of bad reviews out there. Feel free to PM me if you want to keep your info private. Thanks

This is my everyday job so I know couple things about them
You need....
Make sure it has Australian support. Usually eBay ones don't have any or only overseas online support.
Make sure it's on the Telstra network. Telstra has the best Coverage. You don't want someone to steal your car and find out you have a Vodafone sim. You probably won't get your car back.
Make sure it has immobiliser feature.
Make sure you can view your your car via website and mobile.
Make sure it has illegal movement which means ignition is off but the car is moving aka being towed.
And can notify you via SMS and email.
Reporting time is also good to know. (How often it updates on the map) some only report in once a day. You want something within 5minutes. If you are chasing someone with your car it no use if it only updates every hour or so.
Also you want a tracker to work on data and SMS.
I currently have a long life battery tracker in my project at the moment. Updates once once and day and if it moves reports in every 30 seconds.will last 3 years. When the car is finished I add another hard wired one With immobiliser and hidden driver id(you have to present a tag to disable the immobile.
Pm me if anymore questions
