Hey guys
My names Reece, I'm not new (well kind of) but this is my first time posting and thought I'd share my build with you all. So this is my second 1600, I had my first one when I was 18 back in New Zealand. Got this little rust bucket about 2 years ago down from QLD. I knew it had rust but was in for a bit of a shock when we started sanding the truck loads of Bog of the car. The car was all legal and running with a NA SR20 and seriously I have no idea how. The car sat for about 9 months before we started pulling it apart to go to the body shop. Started pulling the car apart and got my first suprise, The trans tunnel had been for the engine swap and a plate was pretty much glued in place. Floor was pretty mint, apart from the 9000 holes drilled in it to mount the seats. wiring was a birds nest but apart from that, wasn't to bad. Car was stripped and sent of to Ray at Real Steel Customs, where all the fun started. As I said the car was full of bog and rust in all the normal places. All the rust was fixed car was put in epoxy and high fill and engine bay and door jams were painted in cactus green. Car is currently at home, we have just sorted the floor inside and underneath. The suspension has been pulled out and cleaned and painted and the new coilovers built by Nick Cross are in. the SR20 and box are back in, all thats left is sort the rear end out and then car goes back to Ray to finish the paint. Will keep updating as I go.
Thanks guys.
