 Post subject: Tyre wear help

Ok this is going to be difficult to explain.

The picture of the tyre above is what I am using on my 1600.

sh*t this is hard...........As you can see it is cut into four sections, the two outside sections are different from the inner two.

Now my problem is that the edge of the inner section(closest to the outer side of the tyre) is wearing very quickly and the outer section has hardley worn at all.(on both tyres)

Does this make sense?

If it does any suggestions?

Those tyres are actually Falken's wet "R" compound tyres.

They are super soft and will die very quickly if driven on the road. I got thru a set in 2 days at Dutton Rally last year. Which is a shame since the event went for 3 days :(

SSS 510 is probably right about the tyre pressure, from memory these were designed to run at about 32psi hot. But the real problem is that they are wet race tyres, not road ones

on the inside (close to diff) its bad camber, will happen on the rear of a 16
out sides (away from the diff) posative camber*bad
out and inner side but not center (not enuf air?)
center but not outers or inner too much air
hope this helps. if its the close to the diff side on the rear thats wat 16's do to tyres...
