you know that the heater is a small radiator and has radiator coolant lines running to it.????

obviously there is a leak somewhere

Probably the heater tap, to fix this fark it off and get a bluey one and mount it in the engine bay.

if its dripping out of the vents it most probably a leak in the heater core itself. Either that or its one of the hoses that connect to it at the rear.
I doubt it would be the heater tap because that sits on the side of the heater and if it leaked, it would drop on the firewall/trans tunnel carpet and not come out the vent...

lol thanks for the "dumb ass replys"
but im not a dumb ass :P
i know its leaking but is there a common place thay leak from. where the tap thing is on the firewall it got stuck close and didnt let any water into the core and didnt work for a while i fixed that but even since its leaked.
i think its just a matter of pulling it out and looking at it

Well if its any help, the only trouble I've ever had with one was the heater tap - like Datto_Boy says, they really are crap. I'll never replace one again with the stock item, thats for sure. If you can't detect any moisture around where you fixed the tap then you probably do need to get the core out.... but only after you are certain of the two hose connections. If the coolant wasn't coming out of the bottom of te heater I would be betting on the tap. Could still be trickling there.

Cheers, Neil.

Yep, its the beastie on the firewall. I can't get a photo cause when my brand
new replacement one failed within a year of intallation, I chucked it out and did without a tap altogether. Not only do they leak and jam up but they are very awkward to replace and as they are a long way below the top of the fluid level you have to drain the radiator. When you put your motor back in you will be doing yourself a big favour if you use a blubird one as advised earlier.

Cheers, Neil.
