i've got 240K front struts.

i've unbolted the disc from the hub, but it looks like the two bearing cups are holding the disc to the hub.

so how do you remove the bearing cups?

WTF?

I'm not familiar with the 240K hubs, but it should be just the same as all the other datto ones. The rotor is probably stuck on the register diameter. Just give it a bit of a whack with a soft faced mallet (holding the hub in a vice), and it should come free.

To remove the bearing cups, use a long drift and a hammer. Don't use a screwdriver to bang them out. If you scoop the grease out of the hub, you'll see 2 little notches in the hub - this is where the drift goes.

thanks beef, with 30 years of rust and gunk it's hard to see how everything fits together until you actually get it apart - if that makes sense :?
