Yeh a coat of paint is on the cards but i don't know when, maybe just a redo of the original colour for now to get it al the same and in a state of nice, but in the end will be something special..... wheni get to do it properly.
it's hard to do what you want when you know you have ot leave it for 6 months while you are overseas.

but when i'm back i'll be straight into it, tear it down to a shell and put it on a rotissarie and bead blast it and fix all rust with metal, and put some good sound deadener into the bottom and then work up from there.

the plan is a ground up resto when i get beck in early 2007....

Sound Deadner??? :tsktsk: Why would you want to make the car heavier and slower????? :P Plus you will be robbing yourself of that awesome sound at full noise!

Forget the sound deadner - Just put an extra couple of coats of paint on 8)

i've been looking at this new efijy that holden built and others that have been built over time.

now i love old cars because they are real, but some of the creature comforts of new cars are great aswell, like quiet interiors, Air con and fuel injected motors.

i want to build a pretty tough street machine with some of the creature comforts of the new world and the looks and style of the old world.

it won't be a show pony or a trophy hunter but it will be hot tough and will make many a commo driver red in the face at the lights.....

it used to happen with the hot A series let alone an injected forced L series..... 8)

When you do it that far it is no longer called a shave, it is called cutting the head in half and throwing away the bottom bit :)

goes VERY hard for a stock L18 - the cam is a mild grind too we think.
