2.6 ratio diffs also came out on the VB and VC commonwhores. quite common if u look. :lol:

Can't remember where I read/heard it, but apparently you can't trust most speedos at high speed. They're designed to be accurate up to about 100-110km/h and the further you get from that point the further out they become. (maybe someone with Dyno experience can confirm or deny this)

All I know is back when I was young and stupid I got my '68 1600 to lose the speedo needle below the facia of the old square speedo. (120mph is the last labeled mark on them and there's one more above that which you can only assume must be 130mph)

That only had a standard L18 with twin SU's and a 4 speed box so I would be surprised if was actually doing the 130mph/208km/h + that it was showing on the speedo.

I wouldn't be trusting a factory speedo either. Thats what the MPH bit of a timeslip is for.
