I just replaced a big rust hole in my front fender. I cut out the rust hole then welded in new sheet metal but I want to make my fender stronger so it wont push in so easily. I was thinking maybe weld in some flat bar in behind the fender or some thicker sheet metal. does anyone have any ideas?

yeah I reckon thats a good idea, but you would have to be patient when your welding it cos you might burn holes though the fender. Spot weldevery couple of cm and kepp checking the bar is in the right place, Acctually, why not try a cris-cross as it should be even stronger.

you'd wanna be careful welding two different thickness metals.
