Hi
Just wana know 100% that all 4 cylinder l series motors have the same exhaust manifold stud/
bolt pattern?

( i am gonna use an L20 manifold on an L18)

would it bolt straight up?

Yes the stud to head bolt pattern is the same.
Just that some L20 heads were round port exhaust on the latter L20 emission years,Im not sure if you guys had round port exhaust in Austrailia. but here we did so take that into consideration.
Here in USA most L20 manifolds go to the recycler where they get sent to CHINA and sold back as cheap jack stands.

If talking where the Y pipe fit on they are differnt on differnt cars and yeas and some dont even have a Y pipe. I got a L20(in garage) and the exhaust bolts right up to the manifold using a big O ring type seal

I personanlly like the early 510 exhasut manifolds (w/o emission ports) with a square port head and recoment putting them on a L20b with the Y pipe. They seal good just a little heavy.

Simple answer......

YES !!!

It'll bolt straight on.

L20 manifold "might" be slightly longer (due to the L20 being taller than the other L motors)

Which part of the L20 is taller than the L18?

(i thought the block was the same)
So is it the head?

Nope the block is taller.

L20B deck height: 227.45mm
L13->L18 deck height: 207.85mm

i know dude, i end up buying stuff for it, and then it sits for months. (Work-UNI.. Etc..) i dont get time for it and then i just forget about it.

but now everything is happening quick. im HOPING it will be up and running within the next month or so. iv done everything almost... just the gaskets are needed, and throtle cable, exhaust and im set..
