how are you dave im mick,i have built the car from a bare shell in my workshop,it is fully seam welded with new sills, new rear qtr panels and any other rust was repaired, the engine bay is also seam welded and all the spot welds removed, the fj is balanced and oring, high flow t3 3 inch exhaust from turbo, high flow injectors, bosch fuel pump, motec m4 ecu, still to be dyno tuned,17inch oz racing wheels all hubs are now 5 stud
front discs are 330mm vented with ap racing calipers rear are standard skyline.everything on the car is brand new ,i even found 4 brand new door handles in the boxes from nissan about 3 months ago, they had been on a shelf in a melbourne warehouse for years noone new they were there ,they were the last set there is way to much to list so ask me anything about it and i will reply i forget about all the things i have done
its been almost 5 years since i started the rebuild

Hi Mick,

Your datto is looking awesome! Looking forward to seeing it on the next cruise/event. Got any pics of the inside?

I would love to know more about your front brake conversion. What struts did you start with, what discs and hubs you used and what modifications were needed.

Cheers,

Chris

Mick,

Nice work mate! Love the AP Racing calipers I must say. :D I've been hunting around for some serious front brakes for my zed, bet they set you back a pretty penny. Completely worth it though, especially if you ever decide to take her for a punt on the track.

Its great to see your car almost finished after such a long build. Look forward to hearing how she goes! :)

Dave

hi to turbovan and the helix here is a shot of the inside
i have only done the hood lining and parcel shelf, still
have to fit drivers seat and retrim back seat to match
and door trims,i had the dash pad restored so it looks brand new, still a lot of cleaning up to do inside.the ap calipers and discs were on a commodore and wheels on a series 4 rx7,the struts are 240 k,i had an
engineer machine up new hubs and stub axles and redrilled the discs to suit. the 2 calipers and 2disc and 2 braided hoses cost me $2000
the machine work was a little under 2 grand with new bearings and seals i then had to make all the brake pipes up.thats enough for this reply tell you more later i just did a 15 hour day need to crash out catch later
