i'd love to even consider that, there's way too much stuff left on my 1600 before that thought even starts to grow in my mind, but please to keep us posted on any results

it would be more of an issue mounting the LEDs and deciding on how you want them to look like, and the amount of them too.

At a guess you'd have to remove all the rear of the globe housing for access then make up a mounting plate to secure the row(s) of LED's inside the housing and then have a rear cover again to concentrate the light through the lense

Do you mean bling style hektic clear led tail lights, or just replacing the globes with LEDs? If it is the latter then there are easy options, for example http://www.ledshoponline.com/automotive_leds.htm. Even if you want to go bling I cant see it being all that difficult to modify factory tail lights.

Have just fitted LED indicator globes inside the original tail lights yesterday and they are excellent. When you stand behind the car at night while they are flashing its funny to see the front globes trying to keep up! They are instant on/off and very bright.

i jus want to replace the globes with LEDs and remove all of the globe holder and have the backing of the taillights flush with the support panel.
if you can all understand that.
have like 9 LEDs in the brake and they are a dull red with the parkers on but get really bright when you brake.
i think those front LED indicators would be good but with the original lense

You can't be serious! You need a Hyundai. It will soon be a crime to rape classic cars. It should be banished along with religion and fasion.

i'd say if you made a new backing section but used the lenses, it would be cool, then you can put it back to factory at a later date, but i do like the idea.

That's why I just replaced the globes inside the original tail lights. Can't tell the diff except when the lights are illuminated.
