Hey,

I have a 200B as you can see with the attachment photo ive added.

Basicalyl ive focused on the looks of the car so far and now that thats complete Im looking at putting either a rotor or SR20 in.

What I have done to it so far:

New paint job
New front and rear bumpers
Chrome 17" wheels
Chrome side Mirrors
Chrome Grill
2.5" Cannon Exhaust
White interior
Blue interior and exterior neons
7" in dash DVD player/screen
10" sub, 6" speakers in each door, 6 by 9's parcel shelf
Alarm system and central locking
Painted break calipers and drums
25% Tinted windows (the attached photo is before the tint)
Angel Eyes (from beamers)
King springs
Rolled guards
New vinyl roof
New interior carpet

Ive spent a lot on this car so far getting it in the condition its in and now it just needs an engine to match its looks, I have a house downt he street from me who has a home business of installing rotors, and they told me they could put one in for 10k. An SR20 is gonna cost me about 6k after asking round. And my last option is reconditioning my engine and turboing it which is around 3-4k i think. Ill prob go for the SR20 as it seems the smartest option because as i would love to put a rotor in an dit would prob be one of the onyl 200B rotors in australia it costs a lot more and probably wouldnt last as long and would be a much higher on going cost with maintaining it. Putting a turbo on my current L20b may screw up the engine cause its nto designed for a turbo but i dunno.

The car has amazing handling compared to what it had before the bigger wheels and new suspension.

Looking good hmmm great.
With the eng I would go SR20det FMIC 3" ext or slightly older FJ20et older but stronger IMHO but the downside parts are harder to find and dearer :(

Datsport can do a fitting kit for around $1300
SR20det n G/Box ~$2500 may include wiring loom
After market ECU $2000 upwards depending what you want.
Dyno ~$500
and don't forget to get Permits as well.

If you're pretty handy you can do most of the install your self.

Yeh i wouldnt be able to install it myself so id have to pay for it all.

So SR20 wouldnt cost to much more than putting a turbo ont he current engine?

lookin good mate!
SR would cost a more than sticking a turbo kit on the L20b, but will be much better to drive, be better on fuel and be more reliable.

Failing that, I know a bloke in the ACT that is selling a fuel injected, supercharged L20B that will bolt straight in, he's not chasing a big price either. Comes with an aftermarket fuel computer, ready to drop straight in (see parts section).

I've got an engine crane as well, could probably work something out about installation. They're pretty easy motors to pull in and out.

Clean 200B. Good to see some more getting around.

Guys you don't need a fitting kit for a 200B. The SR20 basically bolts in, right up to the G/B mount and everything, just need to used the jap model stuff, not aus model stuff. For instance the g/b mount for a 200B SSS is exactly the same as a 200SX.
