Oh the irony! just last week i was thinking of selling the red thou and then i got out and buy another!!!
Formaly Weekend1000s, i picked it up for $150! An absolute bargain! Needed a carby/rad/starter etc but their all bits i have laying around in the shed.
The body isnt too bad. The paint is shot and has a few rust spots. But as any 1000 owner will tell you, they dont rust! So this is more then salvageable! Its another 68 too!

Plans are:
Give the body a rough clean up and bog up.
Paint it Satan black with cool oldschool scallops/pinstriping.
Dump it as low as i can get it with the stock 12"
Club rego
Keep the old A10 in it (maybe make a noisey exhaust for it)
Pimp out the intiror with shagpile etc

Any thoughts and suggestions are welcome. This is a kind of make it up as i go along project. Might muck around with things like a single rear window and maybe a engine transplant

Matte black, white bonnet with red rising sun on there.

Red wall tyres. slammed (as much as you can, heard it's hard on a wagon).

And throw a few ratsun stickers on there.

don't use shag on the inside, use B&W chequered lino on the floorbrushed alloy doorskins split the exhaust into 2 behind the diff and have dumpers just past the rear wheels.
drop it low and fit 13" steelies with chrome rings and dog tins with red walls or white wall flappers

have deeper scallops as far as solid colour most of the wat up the bonnet so the scallops are rounded just past the wheel arch.

I was gonna do a side pipe  Stock A10 exhaust split into 2? Hmm :?

Lowering a wag is as easy as any other 1000. They only sit heigh at the back because of the extra leaf in the rear. So a set of sedan leaves and lowering blocks and remove the spring bushes up front and we'll see where it sits. I dont think that will get the back low enough though!

I donno about the white bonnet idea either...

Still undicided on 12" or 13". I have 1600 hubbies in the shed too. I also have 13" polished stainless wheel rims. Gotta hunt down dog tins that will fit tho. Donations welcome

hydraulics bounce, airbags change ride height and stance. but don't bounce.

bags would be cool, see if you could fit some of that in there, and a 4 link rear out of something tiny, like a mazda 121...

budget build? airbags are prob a little too much $$

Satin black with chrome reflective window tint, that'll attract most eyes away from any imperfections
