Hi folks. This may not be a Datto but it is an early Nissan. I currently own 2x S12 Gazelle's.

My street car has a CA20DET frankenmotor using the original CA20 block, rods, crank & pistons (new ACL) and the CA18DET head, intake, exhaust & ECU loom. It has 248.2hp (185.1kw) @ 5501rpm & 349.4nm (35.63 kg/m) @ 4493rpm on a hub dyno at 1.034bar (15psi). For detailed info on the CA20DET click this link - http://members.optusnet.com.au/web101/s12.htm

The other is currently under the knife, but will have an FJ20E for use as a track car.

The other FJ powered car doesn't have much info yet as it's surgery has only just begun. It will be stripped as far as practical, caged, strengthened 4 link rear with a locked/LSD H190 with coilover conversion & S3 TRX discs, complete S13 front end underpinnings including SR brakes.

Hey mate. Nice rides you got. Good to see some s12's getting the mod treatment :) Did you use strengthened rods in the CA20 or standard? Riley

Love your work. I have a spare CA20 in the shed that I am tossing up doing this to once the CA18 is going. I am astounded that the factory rods are holding up, they barely hold up in the factory setup.

Riley the rods are the original 300,000+km items, though they were shot peened. The entire block and head were stripped, cleaned and all new gaskets, seals & bearings were used throughout.

Cheers Bob. Don't bother mate. It's alot of hard work and money best spent on your small block CA.

Nice S12! I bet it has some good torque out of corners 8)

On a unrelated note, check out the negative camber on that 1600 in the background of the first photo!
IPRA style

Yeah it like to light the Proxies coming out of corner 6 @ QR. We'll see how Silverstone stickies go.

That splay footed 1600 is Datto. Damn fast bugger too.
