Ewww no craig. Its a 68 1000... not some late 70s skyline. imagine how gay it would look with glitter 3 tone paint, 1/2ton fibreglass crap sticking out 5 foot in each direction and exhaust pipe that stopps you getting take away maccas!

nah its gonna be black.

And im going up to 13"s. I got hold of some chrome domes and rings and gonna paint the rims red (when i find some). Then maybe fake white walls. I went to 13"s because i have a better option with tyres. Im thinking 155/55R13(smaller then original) front and 185/60R13 rears(same as originals)

bit of a update...

It lives! I got the mighty A10 fired up today and stopped the brakes holding on and too it for a lap... god damn i need to rebuild that carby, again! (std A12 carb). Other then that it was a pretty hairy drive :lol:

Just starting to strip it and might attack it with a angle grinder tomorro if i dont get turned off by the heat again!

It needs a clutch and a gearbox(no reverse) but i have 2 brand new A10 clutches in the shed (thanks aaron!) and a box aint hard to find.

Well its got paint now!!! YAY! Will be getting some sort of red scallops or 60/70s design during the week and if i get really keen ill pinstripe over the edges with white.

The A10 is very smokey and the brakes are still farked. Locks the rears no prob but the fronts do SFA. Ah the fun of old neglected cars!

Shes a bit lower now! Maybe 2" at the front and 3-4" at the rear.... the rear can go lower tho!
Just removed the front bushes and removed 2 leaves from the rear packs.
The design on the side is all masked up and i might paint it tomoro after work

"Chromies" should be a banned word! This is a oldschool ratrod not a bloody pimp my ride matchbox car with horrible oversized wheels! I have 13" steelies with a chrome ring waiting for low pro tyres. They will be done on wednesday with a bit of luck!

Its on the road now. The A10 blows SO much smoke! Its so funny! So im looking for some crazy engine package to drop in it.

I did a quick calculation today and it owes me about $600 at this stage inc cost of the car.
