the 1600's already have the fuel tank in the boot, it's the wheel well that has been removed, my guess is it was rusted out?

If i was to build a 1600 i'd love to fit an S13 fuel tank or similar underneath with the wheel well removed, and also a full S14/S15 IRS cradle too, spare wheel then goes were fuel tank was

One good thing with your exhaust if you ever change it, you can pretty much removed all bends in it if you so desired

No it wasnt rusted out. Most people chop out the wheel wells in race cars here because they fit a jaz fuel cell in the boot which needs a flat surface for mounting which is a soon to be job for me

Hi HSEPWR,
you probably be better off putting a drop tank under the boot, that way you keep the centre of gravity low..
Are you going to keep the drum set up at the bacK?..

Nice looking datto mate...

Cheers
Blue datto..

Just also brought some r31 disks and calipers for the rear today so will be needing all the fitting kits from baz
I take that as not keeping the rear drums

Was also thinking about mentioning to put the fuel cell under the boot floor, for above said reasons

ripped motor out and decided to rebuild it.Had all the head ported and polished and new valves, springs guides, valve stem seals etc and the bottom end getting a full monty.Decided that engine bay was looking very average so had it sand blasted and re painted in gloss 2K white.

The brakes are R32 4 pot aluminium fronts and R31 single pots on rear.Datsport sold me the front dogbone brackets to mount the calipers to the R31 front struts and the brackets, handbrake cable, brakelines etc for the rear.Great kits really easy to fit

Craig:

Car looks great. Definitely makes me happy I chose a lighter shade of blue for mine.

Thanks also, you have sold me on white wheels (I was tossing up whether to paint mine grey or white).

The white looks great on your car and offsets the blue really well.

Cheers

Thanks mate.Yeh I was a mess trying too choose the colour to paint it,At least the paint job only cost me $200 dollars so If I got it wrong I wouldnt have been so gutted.
I get a lot of comments from people that they love the white and blue together

got board today so I decided to make a steering box brace as ive heard they are worth their weight in gold on these old girls and apparently make them feel a whole lot more responsive and not so flogged out in the steering.Time will tell only took me an hour to make
