agreed the general lack of billet is concerning. Trav if he runs chev badges on this I say we steel it.

There will be no Chev badges, 308s, 350s or anything of the sort! I haven't really made any progress, hopefully I'll be borrowing a buffer from Travm182 in the next couple of weeks, once I've polished it I'll replace the headlining and then put the interior in. Thanks for all of the kind words so far :)

79200bsx - mine still has a bit of rust unfortunately! I think this car would have gone to Datsun heaven years ago had it not broken down and somehow ended up in a shed! I think it would have been well below average value for a 200B of that time.

The sills will fall off a scrape soon enough. Its a 200b rust is a bitch

The sills are quite good actually, I haven't seen many 200B's with rusty sills which makes me happy :)

There won't be much progress for now, due mostly to time and cash constraints. I did however find a Weber 32/36 adapter plate I purchased brand new for the green 200B when I was 15 or 16, so that might finally get some use. I don't have particularly high hopes for the engine but even lower for the carbie.

I don't think this picture requires much extra info. That is a 302 Windsor on an engine crane in front of Alistairs SX. from here that motor got a lot closer to the SX

Yeah I told him not to do it but we picked up the motor Monday in his beloved chev powered hilux. I guess V8s are addictive.

Well from that height I guess you both were mildly aroused.

I'm not putting a V8 in my SX! And I'm not a V8 lover, I'd take a rotary any day, it was just cheaper for me to buy my V8 Hilux than a standard one... It'll remain an L-series, at least in the foreseeable future anyway.

I do believe Alistair is trying to convince me he is working on an L series. Or he plans to fit Datsun rocker covers to the windsor?
