Very nice. And good work beating that HSV too. That 1200 ute looked like it had a bit more power than it could handle.

Tyrie,
Was a 12.78 the best you did? Pretty damn quick.
The 1200 ute was crazy! Too much power! Needed a bit of weight (like a whole HSV) over the rear axles.

Yep mostly flat 13s and one 12.8.
The 1200 has over 400kw from a ca18 and his tyres (225 ET Streets) were a bit old.

I'm now halfway through an e85 conversion. I'll then need valve springs and a tune before snowy 1000 in Nov.

Some details on what you are changing to go to E85? (fuel setup?, ECU or Tune? Flex fuel sensor?)

maddat tank with inbuilt walbro450, replace all rubber lines with Gates Barricade lines, bosch 1250cc ev14s, turbosmart fpr800 to replace stock reg, inline filter up front and just replace the truck filter under the car and see how it copes. Also replacing the ancient 35mm wastegate with a new 38mm gate and stiffer spring for more boost.
I'll get it tuned on straight e85. Will probably have to carry a jerry around.

Also pissing off the eboost and putting a HKS EVC5/6 on it so I have altitude compensation at cooma.

With valve springs I'd like to run around 25psi every day.

Hey Tyrie.

Good work with the 1600, always liked this car.
With the fitament of the 225/50 mickey thompsons
Did you have to cut the guards to make them fit or was there another solution?
How close do they go to the A arms as well? Any notching?

Cheers Tim

Had to remove a crescent shaped section including the ledge the door sits in. It sits fairly close to the A arms but I didn't have to touch them. I think if you tried fitting them with more positive offset they would rub on the inside tub at full squat. Mine don't rub anywhere.
