These are going to look sick to the power of rad. What kind of clear coat are you going to use? I'd be interested in knowing the brand, because I'd like to paint some aluminium to stop it from oxidising.

Wheel update....
Finishe the sanding and moved onto polishing today.
I found a metal polishing kit at supercrap auto which comes with 3 polishing wheels and 3 polishing compounds. Thought I would give it a go.
Here are the results..... Well happy!!!!

Straight after I finished sanding with no polishing...

After polishing.....

Glamour pic with the centre sitting in... Centres are still to be restored....

All in all in stoked how the lips came up!!! There was a lot of oxidisation so the effort of all the sanding and polishing has been well worth the effort!!!

Thanks bro!
Not sure what I'm gunna do yet with clear coat??
I'm undecided as to whether I clear coat them or not? I know if I don't they will require a bit more maintenance, but will pop and shine more.

I'm sand blasting the centres tomorrow and if I have time will post up some more progress pics!!

Pretty happy with the fitment. Nice and flush and will camber in once I put it on the ground.

I had 6.5s and 7.0s first, now it's got 7.0s and 7.5s (same tyres). Yeah I want more rubber, more comfort, more common size (cheaper!). Kind of sick of the low-profile look, and it looks a bit odd now that I've raised the car a bit. When it was slammed it suited it more.

Anyone know where I can buy the STI conversion stub axles from other than Futofab for $550??
For me to bolt my half shafts to my R180 that has come out of an STI.

There is some guy on ebay who makes them. Jamie Waterhouse here in Penrith NSW has something that will work and Stewart Wilkins makes axles out of D21 Navara half shafts. But you may need cvs for them.
Best give them a call. Jamie makes good stuff.

I just saw this same question on viczcar.

Quote from Gareth J
"Kameari call them a ' Subaru R180 Strengthening side flange' from what I can see 35,000yen for a pair.

Been spending up a little lately!!
Took the plunge on a GTX3071r externally gated.
Bought an older style Fantasy steam pipe exhaust manifold.
Not a huge fan of the newer styles as they are mostly SS from my understanding.

Also picked up a Turbosmart Ultragate...
[ img ]

And a steering wheel...
[ img ]

And got some stub axles for my R180 to allow me to bolt up my half shafts...
[ img ]

Now just need to figure out how I'm going to explain all these to the wife when they all start arriving.
