Iv also owned 3 of them, but 2 have gone a better place, I should get a build thread posted up for my project so you all can take a squizz.

180b's are definatly underrated.. I've had a few 1600s and made the switch to a 180b after a bit of time out of the datsun scene.. The idea was that they were practically the same in a lot of ways but the 180b's are just cheaper and less popular, which made it more affordable and something different to everyone else. Now that i've owned one i like them more than 1600s.. They seem so much stronger and better built, all my doors close perfectly and once they've been lowered with the right set of wheels they look great..
some of my favourites:

Loving the track photos of your car Mark.

I know what you mean, I´ve always wanted to make my 180B look and sit as low as that Red one, hopefully with a Datsport rear and CV jointed shats it will be possible.

Got any more info on your car?

The EFI setup looks rather interesting.

Same here. The first two were sacrificed so that my old 1600 could live many years ago.

The third came close to suffering the same fate, but has now become my main project ahead of my two 1600's.

The engine is a freshened up S1 Bluebird L20b with a stock A87 head and a wade 733a cam. No money spent on big ports and valves or flattops as the A87 will be ditched for a lower compression head with some work once i get to turbocharging it, but as is the engine is surprisingly torquey and fun :)
For the efi setup i used a Twin weber manifold and welded some injector bungs into that, and then built a alloy plenum that bolts to the weber flanges. I'm using a megasquirt ECU, currently running fuel only and retaining the bbird S2 dizzy but should have spark control and individual coilpacks working soon..
I know what you mean about the rear end vibes when you go too low, mine is currently as low as it will go without introducing the vibes. I've got a datsport style adjustable rear end, and am going to make the switch to CV style shafts too, for reliability but also to get rid of the vibes.

Cheers, was stoked when I found them.

Yep, fj20et.

EDIT! btw, I love your 4 door. I'm going to start building an L4 soon myself with the same idea behind your efi setup, but I'm going to use a ca18 computer and accessories, not sure on the car that will receive it, but I'm looking forward to just building the motor first.

+1 from me.

They really fit in well with the guard mirrors to give a "JDM" look.

Always been a fan of old-style wheels on old-style cars.

Out of curiousity, what size / offset are they ?

Hey Dave, cheers for the comments. They are 16x7 on the front, 16x8 on the back. Unfortunately no offset is marked on them, it does have the sticker on the inside of the wheel, but nothing marked on there next to "offset".

But, the guy I bought them off said they were +25 all round. They went straight on the front, but I may need to trim the trailing arm slightly on the back (on the front side closet to front of the car), that or put some bolt on spacers which I'm leaning towards, or im told genuine wheel nuts may be the go as well as they taper through the wheel itself.

Basically if it was a zero offset on the back, or +5 - +10, they would be perfect, but I'm not worried as I got them for a bargain, they came off a cefiro.

Nice SSS godzilladat

Mark: if I didn't put a deposit on some Dellortos I would have asked for your help in developing something simillar since I've always wanted to EFI, I was initially going to use the EA falcon single point injection with a megasquirt but I heard that the EA setup would be pretty useless.

I'm planing on doing the CV rear but only once I get the Datsport rear and R31 brakes.

There are less than 10 coupes left here in UK. Most folk think its american until they read the badges. The look on their face is priceless

Since two of my favourite coupes are already in this thread, may as well make it the trifecta.

I love how straight and clean this one is.
