Thanks mate. You might have noticed that the red stripe and the sponsor on the door was removed after finishing the trial the day before. Thought i would leave the silver and black for a bit longer for something to do.

I assume that's a genuine Nismo sticker you have?
Where did you get it?
I've always been tempted to get one, as I reckon they look really good on white cars!

No not genuine. A mate does sign art for a living. Just showed him a photo and he made them up and I stuck them on. He can just print them out now he has it in his system  . What ever colour combination you want as the 3 stripes are individual.

Fantastic effort mate. Looks great.

Have been busy getting the Dato ready for the Rich River Trial in Echuca next weekend.
How did you end up going in it? My old man (63 as well) made the trek down from Canberra for it. He was running in his new toy - a 2.4 litre Stanza. Said he had a ball! Reminded him of rallying in "the old days". He normally competes in a VR4, so it took a bit of time to get used to rear wheel drive again...

Still waiting on results for the Rich River Trial as the bloke that does it has been ill. We didn't do the night section for obvious reasons (the oldman didn't want to be the one that wrapped the Dato around a tree) with no driving lights and standard seats & belts it was a bit of an artform just hanging on  Even hit my head on the roof at one stage.

Still no results yet, but I got hold of this pic as we went through a dry creek bed.

The old man is adding another one to the collection. Picks it up on Feb 8th. Looks like fun.

No L series in these. This one is the 1600 running a modified engine, built by Lou Mondello of Melbourne with five speed box.

Thought I would give the garage an update, since it's been a while between visits.
Blubirds are gone. 200B is gone. The spare 1600 is gone but still local here and undergoing a full resto I believe. The original 1600 is now living in Sydney under the name of 'OLDSCL' on Datnet and looking magnificent. My father has sold his racecar 1600 and is enjoying blasting around in his Failady Roadster (only on sunny days of course). And I only have one 1600 left and that's the turbo L18 one. But I still have spare parts coming out of my ears, so it looks like I may have to do some major listing on eBay soon.
But it's all fun.
Thomo

You wouldn't happen to have a spare set of L-series extractors?
Or any other 200B parts you might be interested in getting rid of... PM me if you want anything gone

That's fine. Thanks anyway. Let me know if you're getting rid of any other 200B bits, I'm always looking for parts.
