Not sure what Bruce broke, but would be interested to find out. It was a great weekend for it, and I must say that the racing was almost gentleman-ly. Apart from the GTiR which likes to take turn 6 through the pebbles . . .

Just as Jeff did, I managed a couple of PB's and was happy to drive the car onto the trailer in one piece at the end of the weekend.

Noted that yesterdays Wed afternoon gentlemens sprints (WAGS) was attended by roughly 25 cars.

Bruce busted 3rd gear. Do you need 3rd in a Civic at QR? :giggle:

Datsblue, it's always good to take home a straight car. Well done on the PB's.

Are either of you going to the TA Nissan day next Tuesday?

Candellan, I'm about out of motorsport time this month (3 days out of 5 at QR this week) and preping fo the next top gear.

I have missed the details on the Nissan day, so if time allows, I may turn up for a look see with camera in hand.

It was a great day in the end. It pissed down all morning and a fair few came off with an EVO hitting the wall at turn 6 hard enough to put him in hospital for a short while.

By the arvo things were drying out nicely and I ended up posting a new PB with the first crossover having a small steam running through it.

There were plenty of GTRs inclusing the new R35. I walked away with 3rd fastest Silvia

BTW: 910bluey is down becuase of hosting issues, though Brian said the domain is about to run out too, so who knows when it'll be back.

well done Candellan. there were 3 R35 GTRs down at Superlap last weekend! But only Russ was competing in one - same one that went to QR on Tuesday. Do you know what times it did on the Sprint track?

Sorry I don't think the GTR got timed as it was the 4th runs when it went out.

Here's the results of that arvo Nissan session:

I'm booked in for the QR SAS on 6 Sep. Hoping for a dry day so I can crack a 1:01 and knock Brett & Jeff off the Sprint lap time podium

lol . . the sponsors and supporters are waiting for me to crack a 61.xx wednesday next week . . . then I can lay down the shameless plugs . . currently I have a sprint circuit target to beat . . . 61.59 (set by one of the McLean boys in that red thing they have).

Toll taken over the weekend was exhaust gasket, and I now have a list of 8 things to get done before that wednesday. shopping for more power is not on the list, however I have worked out that I need to go on a diet to increase the size of my minerals! :)

Is that at the WAGS? Good luck mate.

After setting a 1:01 at Lakeside doing it at QR should be easy, plus I have some 25mm spacers for the rear of mine and a few front end tweaks, so I'll be a lot more stable around 1-2 than last time.

I'd also like to get a group together with folks from here as we're all pretty close in times and equipment. Interest?

you'll have to knock my stock GTR on street tyres off if you want to make the podium mate :bringit:

but IF you ran a 1:01 at Lakeside that should be an absolute doddle around QR - its not half the challenge Lakeside is. What was your 2nd fastest lap of Lakeside?

Ok, Brett, Jeff & Harry

My real best at Lakeside was a 1:06. My 1:02 sprint lap was in partially wet/cold conditions so a 1:01 is easily on the cards, not sure about a 1:01.5 though as that's over a second faster. I'll just have to bring my Lakeside balls and give it 101%.
