My understanding of starting a car club
You need a constitution
Voted for heirachy
Some members would be nice
Payment of fees to start said club to relevent govt bodies
To be affiliated for CAMS if thats your thing you need more than 30 members with more money
To get club rego cars have to be stock or as close to as posible in relation to available parts and some period mods may be allowed
The eligibility officer of the club deems this
Club rego'd cars can only be used on sanctioned club runs and to and from workshops for repairs
Anyone abusing the priveledge and getting caught by the cops doing something stupid or driving the car outside of the parameters voids club rego for the whole club... all members

Oh and annual roadworthy and eligibility inspections on all cars on club rego

I think its pointless to try to get this running just to get club rego
If you can't afford to rego your car you can't afford to own it... my opinion.

thanks for your nice positive coments
if you like giving $400 a year to the gov thats fine im not twisting your arm . as i have said manny times before club cars can be driven on
club days
sundays
test drives ,,, this can be a lot of things
getting work done
all day only no night driving
this is for the car that sits in the shed
i have 6 cars and thats a lot of rego im not poor i just dont like wasting monie

and yes i have payed the 200 for the starting of the club and the 200 to addvertize it in the paper for a month in case anyone has any probs

yep not going for cams too hard

yep its ment to be stock but the colours can change the trim can change if it keeps a old style
there can be changes to the car to improve safty eg disk brakes seat belts ect ect
im pretty shore the motor cant grow lol but i have heard of people getting away with it
my dad got dobbed in for having a mini pannel van choped to a ute with the front made as a clip on.... 1.5l race motor...... race every thing and the club still has club rego if a member plays up thats there fault not the clubs but the club could get audit ed

dam i wrote a lot lol

Hey more power to you
If you think its worth it.... whooopdee go for it

I also have 6 cars
4 rego'd and I am sure I pay alittle more for mine that you might
I figure if I want em I pay for em
So I deal with it as I see best

I won't be joining any club in the hope to get cheaper rego cause I want to drive them whenever I damn well please

Thats my choice and I wish you well with your endeavour

hmm im left wondering why you have even bothered to reply in this thread

i think club rego saves a lot of cars from sitting around for years and getting ruined and people are happy to get a nother datto because its only gonna cost $30 a year in rego and just drive it wonce a week ect ect but you seem to have made up your mind thats cool i hope you enjoy the $2000 to $3000 bill in rego ( 6 x $450) some would say that could be spent on some of your longterm builds ?

and who want to let some fat bum at dpi thrash there datto when it goes over the pits ?

actually there are plenty of club rego cars that are "modified".

look at the early falcon club - guys building replica pursuit cars out of std family hacks. that's just as modified as Beattie's 1000.

i don;t see where the prob is.

I'm really wondering why you bothered posting  It looks like he has put in the effort, and by the sounds of things knows what he is talking about. I'm sure he couldn't care less whether you join or not. I think its a great idea

i think it's a great idea but i love croozin the whitewood at night so joining for me is a contradiction in terms.

still, if i had a collectible or something i didn;t drive often - i'd consider it for sure.

I just had a look on a few websites and by the sounds of it you have to be affiliated with The Council of Motoring Clubs of Western Australia. And we're not on their list(donno how old the list is). I would say we have to contact them. Thats a presidents job. Ill do all the rest. I just dont know where we stand as a club? It still seems up in the air with no meetings or anything! We need a meeting somewhere, someplace and make this sh*t organised and official or i cant see it even getting the 30 members needed for club rego.

ok to join the Council of Motoring Clubs of Western Australia is 75 buck a year ( the club pays ) not every member

so then the a series car club is apart of the cmc and can take part in the shows such has the white man park thing that has now gone

is this some thing we are keen on ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

75 bucks devided among 30 people isnt much

Its something i would be keen on.

But is it something that is going to be activly used? I though the sole purpose of the club was club rego? No meetings, no minutes, no positions etc? Or is it going to be a proper club now
