This is the same stage but filmed at the spetator point. We are the second car through. This is what it sounds like from outside the car spectating.

 Had some tense moments in that one! like the close call with that tree on the inside edge of the corner early on  But awesome watching, woohoo fastest on that stage! what were the different groups and what where you in??

Shame the internal camera doesn't pick up the sound the way the second video did.

I run in a class "D" (over 2000 liter 2WD). I think there is about 5 class overall. This event used a combination of a 50% road book and 50% maps. Its note pace noted, you drive the rally blind, (meaning you don't get to drive the roads before the event). All the calls you hear are either "cautions" to be aware of like "road goes right on creast" or "don't cut, culvet on inside". Most of the calls are to head you in the right direction so that you don't go the wrong way such as "turn right at T- junction" or "follow main road, track on right".

If you want to get involved or just watch, attached below is the website with all the info for 2012 season for the state and club rounds.

Hope this makes sense and helps out.

Dyno sheet for the 148kw ?
G'day Claude,

You sold your 1600 to Wayne Hoy 4 or so years ago. He entered the Alpine in 2009 and did really well in the prologue but then pulled out on the Saturday with problems. Last year he went really well, ending up 3rd outright. There is some good footage of you on youtube at Bega in 2008 I think in the car before you sold it. How is the new 1600 coming along?

Anyway, attached in the dyno sheet from May this year after we rebuilt it.
Hi Rob,

Thanks for the dyno sheet. That's a very tidy number for an L series.
My current 2289cc L18 currently makes around 14 kw's less than yours atw.

I sold my old 1600 to Richard Galley from Bathurst after the 2007 Alpine. He did one event in it and then sold it on to Wayne Hoy. The car Wayne ran at the 2009 Alpine hardly resembled the car I ran there 2 years earlier tho... Different motor, different gearbox, different suspension etc
The whole car had been changed and I almost didn't recognise it as he drove past me into the first service...

The new 1600 is coming together quite nicely.
We won an event outright (The AMSAG City of Orange Classic) 2 weeks ago by almost 3 1/2 minutes and 2 weeks before that we finished 2nd outright at a NSW state round down at Batemans Bay against a field of 4 wheel drive turbo cars.
I'm still sorting the car out, but so far so good ;-)

Hope to meet you out in the forest one day :)

Claude.

Some footage from last weekend second round of the VCRS Blue Rocks Stages based out of Willow Grove, Victoria. We ended up 4th outright out of 60 cars after loosing 4th gear half way through the 2nd of 8 stages. Lucky to make it to the end. I hope you enjoy the links and shot below.

We are the 4th car through on the link below.
