getting the datto tuned this week hopefully it gets rid of the flat spot, so should be fun in the hills then

car was running like sh*t last cruize but its all fixed now and its good to c some more datto ppl are thinking of coming

will be good to have a few cars insted of like last time with 4 ppl showing up

i should hopefully get the 1200 going for this one or if my turbo manifold is ready i might take my ute out on a permit if so ill let u kno aiden so we can set out a map cause i will have to tell moto reg

ok so i was contacted by haydn from the nissan datsun car club of SA (NDCCSA) the other day asking if he could advertise this cruise to the club in their newsletter as they are looking for more social activities for their members. should mean we will see a few more people showing up every month

well, i finally adjusted my 'rattly timing chain'. Turned out the top guide had slid across where its slotted for adjustment, even with the bolt done up tight. Wtf?
Also noted one of my thermostat housing bolts was 5mm too long and protruding into the timing chain area too much.
Must shorten this but not such a problem now the timing chain slack has been taken up. Its got signs of being munched a bit on the end. Timing chain looks ok luckily.
I ended up using a 10mm 'deep' offset ring spanner to get to the guide bolt with only the rocker cover removed. Sweet.
Gotta get off my a-hole now and register this thing again and come for a drive!
I keep saying it, just gotta do it! :oops:
