i need a custom handbrake maker to make a totally new handbrake for my wagon. i dont care if i need to leave it with someone while they work on it. i have been looking for ppl to do this for a while and no one wants to touch it. there has got to be someone out there that can help me. PLS.

sorry should've mentioned that is got a hilux diff in it. Nah they dont have nething to suit my setup, thanks anyway.

I gather you are wanting a tunnel mounted handbrake :?:
They are fairly easy to put in, the wrinkle in a sedan is making a pivot box and lever at the rear end.
In a wagon that may not be an issue.
If the Hilux diff. already has that part, then I reckon you're nearly there :wink:

I think you can use hydraulic if you use a seperate line, anybody know about this ?

I took in the std cable to a trailer place around archerfield with a rough measurement of the required cable length and these guys took off the required brackets and fittings and made a new (but shorter) one. I have a Mazda B1600 diff. Call Kev Rowley 3814 4674 as he knows exactly where in Brisbane the place is. :) As to the physical handbrake lever, my original one has been positioned rearward approx 3 inches from the std position.... Maybe you could graft a 120Y lever to your floor??

Sorry if i'm way off track, i'm not familiar as to what the inside of a 1600 looks like :(

hey there nissanman im not really after a tunnel mounted handbrake cos ive got a custom center console which i dont really wanna change. i might go to the wreckers and try find a hilux hand brake cable and see if it can be modifed to fit my assembly, it might work...
