Bob won't reply b/c he's on a beach somewhere drinking beer, the b@stard.

Was that the one that was going on ebay, I saw it listed - it had the sr20 crossmember/mounts etc? I would have got it except for the solid axle/drum brakes issue.

Oh wow, that looks clean.

Enough hijacking Bob's thread, but once you've started your own member's rides thread -

a) did someone get an ADM s12 and convert it over to a JDM lookalike with the FJ20? I ask b/c I thought the JDM one had IRS/LSD and stuff.

b) what other mods has it had? The FMIC looks pretty serious!

FJ20T vs CA18det would be an awesome showdown indeed.

Taking Monday off work, hopefully will have the car engineered and registered in the next week. New 2 1/2 inch exhaust getting done on Monday (engineer wanted a cat converter, and the old exhaust sucked ass anyway), a few pollution hoses etc, and it is all apples.

When are we doing the next Canberra meet? Would love to sit the two Gazelles next to each other and have a bit of a compare.

Got a 2 1/2 inch exhaust on yesterday, sounds heaps better and has a cat converter so will make the engineer happy.

So I basically passed engineering yesterday, the final big thing was the brake test. I had to do ten repeated hard brakes from 100kph, accelerating hard to 100kph each time. Turns out that is a pretty solid test! I could just start to feel the brakes overheating at the end, with more pressure needed on the pedal, but I recon I was still a few stops off proper fade.

Off to Dickson in a week or so, and then we are all legal.

Thanks mate, I am pretty happy to be near the end of this stage. From here I can start to look at building some good suspension and good power into the car.

I started turning up the boost a little yesterday. It was previously only hitting say 4.5 - 5 psi, I gave it just enough to get up to 7psi. Time to start hunting about for some bigger injectors (say 700cc) and a bigger AFM - probably go the Z32 route. Will probably go for something like 14-16psi boost in the end, which should be entertaining.
