hay guys, i have an issue with my radiator,

i have changed:

the radiator coolant (bleeded it and refilled it)

changed the water pump

changed the thermostat

and made sure all the gaskets were changed/sealed properly

the fan blades are spinning towards the radiator

can someone please suggest as to why my temperature gauge is always on 3/4 temperature to borderline full hot temp

thanks in advance

30 years of crap now blocking most of the radiator, only way to clear it is professionally or fins corroded off rad not allowing heat transfer to work

I found that with the 200's i have owned both had crap in the heater line's in the car so try on the back left off your motor where the lines go in your car take both of them off and ram a hose into the top one and i'm guessing a lot of crap will come out. Also there is a tap bit where the top one joins and if you dont use your heater just turn the tap off, or what i did was just rip the hole lot out and loop the bottom hose into the top.
Go the 200B's just get a manual for it and go the second gen front :D

my 200 used to overheat hardcore
turned out to be the ignition timing
but chances are this wont apply to your car

I seem to be having a few problems with the motor.

1. Car stalls when taking a U-turn or some corners.

2. The flap on the carby doesn't close all the way. It's a few millimeters out from closing fully.

3. I took the standard air filter off a while ago and want to fit the standard air filter back on. I forgot how to connect the hoses back to the air filter. I have the thick engine air inlet all sorted, but i forgot where the vacuum hose connects to. (on the air filter it has 3 inlets, one for motor, one for vacuum, and another that has a point looking inlet)
**sorry i know what im talking about but its hard to explain when i don't know the right terminology**

4. I am tearing through fuel. I only get around 300ks per a full tank (if that). driving normally! I use unleaded 98 from BP and add the Valve Saver Fluid

5. Also the car used to keep running when i turned the car off, but i had my timing, points, leads and plugs all serviced like a month ago. I was told by a mechanical engineer to pour 1 Litre of Metho in the tank with a quarter of petrol to remove all the carbon build up around the valves (i only did this once). Not sure if this could be a problem with the car stalling

6. Is it normal for the car to stall when i turn it on and not rev it (the car is automatic)

Sorry for so many questions and i hope you understand, sorry I'm not that intelligent when it comes to cars, but I'm learning :)

i'd get a 200B repair manual for ebay or a secong hand bookshop but it seems you are running out of fuel

2. The flap on the carby doesn't close all the way. It's a few millimeters out from closing fully.it has to be open a little bit for idle.

Don't use valve saver you don't need to! the car has an alloy head and hardened valve seats....
