I suggest you post a question in the EFI section. There's bound to be a guru that can answer this question. It sounds like it's getting some extra oomph from the coil. Sometimes you can fix this by fitting a pull down resister (1K ohm), but i'm not 100% sure about this. best bet is to ask someone who has had the problem and fixed it by doing this...

I'd try Autobarn. That's where I got my filter kits from, and they've told me in the past that they can get Weber carbie rebuild kits in.

$250 each? A couple of places down here down my way quoted be around $400 for both carbies rebuilt. Call up a few other places, and see what everyone else says.

Hey dude... Good to see yr still rollin with the B :)

I bought an SU air filter from Bursons a few months back. Havent used it yet. They stock them, and if your store doesn't have any they'll order them. It cost me close to $40 though...

i bought it from autobarn, cost me around $140 but im shattered now because i have a mate that works at autotechnica and can get me everything cheap :(

u will need a boss kit as well, thats roughly $80 but you could get one second hand cheap

so you live in mt. eliza too

looks like when i come down to Rye at the end of the year (like i do every year)
your 200b can join Alistairs green 200b and my orange 200b for a drive

lol. thanks for that. the one on it now is crazy and just wont do.

and as if there will be problems... its a datsun. "Datsun Rallyability" lol. mine still has that sticker on the back windscreen. well mine has everything like new... just old... and needing some attention.

what kind of problems should i be looking forward to??

three datsun 200b's cruising along. how fun. we must do that sometime, A, after i get my license and B, after i actually get my 200b down from my nana's.

i love the mud flaps, like sure they are granny-ish but maybe i am just one old granny. NOT! i just love them, dont know why, but just do. i love everything bout it, and i guess that's the way it has to be.

Johnny.

anyone know where i can get a WORKING needle and seat for twin su's
i bought an overhaul kit from autobarn
but the needle and seat is f******d and they dont want to get me a new one because the manufacturer thinks that all their parts are 100%

one carbie keeps flooding, so looks like the needle and seat is faulty

anyone know a similar or compatible needle and seat that i could chase down instead

and has anyone bought a new standard air filter for them recently, repco discontinued them

thanks,
marc
