I'm looking for any idea's about putting a centre consol into my 510.

Does anyone know of a consol that fits nicely and looks good? Pics would be nice too.

Also, if anyone in Canberra has an old roof lining with support ribs they would like to sell, please let me know. Condition is not important.

Hi there, in my old orange 1600 sedan I had a centre console out of a mitsubishi galant in it.
The galant you want is the wagon, that is the same shape style as a 1600 wagon.
It fits under the dashboard, has a place you could put a nice stainless steel pannel to bolt in more guages, the gear shifter hole is in the right spot. These are made out of light plastic.
All up a nice cheap, neat upgrade.

I have also seen escort RS2000 consoles they are made out of nice black rubber, but are very heavy, so if you are trying to save weight, I would pass on that one.

I fitted a console from a Datsun Sunny.
It was just the right length/width and allowed my console mounted Stanza handbrake to fit AOK

i just did some measuring and ade mine from scratch not too hard and then u can make it suit ur needs. pm me ur email address and i will send pic through if u like.

I have fit both 200b and 240k the later worked better especially with center mounted hand brake.
plus more storage
