hi peeps,
i'm new to the forums and back on the datto scene!!
thought i might post up this 1 and my next project......my last datto didn't get the appreciation it deserved!!
since exporting my 180b sss to California iv'e been dattoless!! untill now!
picked this up from the original owner(or his grandson anyway) for a wicked price!!(not telling) my plans are to keep it as original as possible maybe stick a 5 speed in it if i can find 1,i need to sorce 1 more 1600 hub cap to compleat a set...and the 4 13" steelies to stick em on....but then i'll wrap them suckers with some white walls!! love the classic original look of these70's machines!!
anyway hear it is.....

Clean wagz! I would love to find a mint 120Y wagon to put my running gear in. They look sweet slammed on hubbies and whitewalls (see my 120Y thread).

finished the rwc on this beast yesterday!!
didn't need much,he knocked a few bushes in the spring shackles....so i went out an ordered every possible nolathane replacement bush for a 120y!! but unfortunately, the spacers i needed to fit the trx wheels didn't pass! luckily i had a set of 13" bathurst globes with near new tyres on 1 of my 1600's that bolted strait on...and are actually wider than the trx wheels...!
although the motor seems a lil tired, picked up a down draft weber manifold and 32/34 carb off ebay, and i'm trying to work out a deal with a bloke for a set of extractors and a 5 speed box!
so much for the l series transplant, picked up a a15 from a mate for a real good price...needs a rebuild! but i figgerd id keep it kinda stockish!
but have a lil fun with it aswell! but not too much!
heres a few pics,
