Hey guys with all this great sunny weather a cruzz should happen. Anyone interested? Of course any Nissan/Datsun should be welcome. What do you's think. How about Sunday Feb 3rd GOR or does anyone else know some good roads with nice turns and a bit of a view, but most of all roads that will not be chock a block with Grannies driving at 37Km's. Come on finish those cars and lets go cruzin'

your 10mins from me :P

Think of our fuel bills, i say no to the GOR, the road itself is sh*t, traffic is sh*t, the otways are fun tho. If its the GOR i will take the stagea, and meet you guys in geelong(GF's family are down there).

yarra ranges, cruise then BBQ or pub lunch then back down?

my car should be drive-able in a week or two. any ideas of dates? as i have 4family birthdays with family over from NZ this month that i cant bail out on like i did x-mas lol.

Easy there tiger.

My skyline is out of action (temporarily) as I need to replace an idle air control valve (and service)

As for the 1600, it's getting close!!

So, no cruise action for me yet.
If it's early Feb, I might have the skyline back by then (HAHAhahah)
and would be keen for a cruise.

GOR is a fair drive! Anything closer???
We could go tulamarine and watch the planes fly over? (HAHahha)
Good drive if you don't get stuck behind some tool doing 60 in the 100 zone.

Thanks Waz but I'm not into toymotors and drifting is more boring than watching some old duck crossing the road with a frame.

And some of us have 3 children to look after, work odd hours, have mortgages to pay, home renovations to finish, cars to work on and drive our Dato's every day. Not that i dont love a weekend cruise, it's just finding the time in between everything else.

Same here sbthomo - I don't have kids though - Just mortgage and work commitments, doing more than full time hours 24hr 7day rotating roster myself which can be very hard to have a social life at all (I work most Saturdays, night shift) or they put me on a 7am Sunday morn shift grrrrrrrrr.

Although I am looking forward to going on a cruise at some stage, just have to wait n see I guess :?

Looks like it's bad timing becuse my 180B has been off the road for over two months, need rego and a couple of things to get fixed prior to that.

otherwise I would be 100% in.

I actually used to work at Vic Roads so I can give you a tip.

There are only 2 types of permits, a one way permit where you can drive the car from point A to point B anywhere in Victoria, or interstate, but it has to be the most direct route, so the cruise could work if you have the permit to cover a one way trip. But then would need another to cover the way back. Oh and don't forget, when you are using a permit, you can't have a passenger.

The other permit is to drive around your city or town to get RWC and repairs done, but you could get busted if your out of your area.............

That's just what I remember from working there

Hahaha... we have an insider :) Didn't happen to work at Civic Compiance also?

As far as the permits go, last time i didn't realise there were two and got the wrong one.
I don't think my datto's is "visualy" ready yet anyway, i've sprayed green paint on spots where the paint was flakey, and took to it with the angle grinder... Also, I'll out drive you all... ahem, ahem... Nar have a good drive peeps. :D
