i have SVI on the lookout in Japan for a showroom condition P411.

i also have them sourcing some info about sending it back in a sea container with a modded SR20DET front cut.

could be ages yet, as the good ones rarely come up for sale, but, the ball IS rolling now.

yes - 'tis the project.

you can have the diff if you want dude - may be an f'ing long wait though.

sourcing a P411 in OZ that isn't purple with cowprint seat covers, a total sh1t heap or "rebuilt" (*shudder*) by an apprentice is next to impossible.

a 1UZ is illegal under current regs. largest motor allowed is a 2.2L turbo or 3.95L NA. so i thought bugger it, one SR20 front cut.

looking at a pro-streeter with bog stock interior which means an auto thanks to the column shift. if i want a manual it will also have to a column, so the only gearbox of choice is a stock one (LOL) or a toploader. not really bothered though as they're not the best handling cars anyway.

I'd source a local myself

less headache too.

the going price for them is 3500 - 5500 AUD in japan.

no SEVS, just bring it straight here under pre Dec 88 rules and drive to pits.

freight = $2k insured.

and nah - no 2 doors - and i wouldn;t bother with a SSS. it's gonna be hacked to the shithouse.
