I should also be making an appearance. Want to get a tune-up and more boost before then but don't think I'll get a chance. So I'm aiming to run into the 11's with current boost and street tyres. Pleeeeeeeeeaaaaasssssse be a cool night!!!! Is justin going to bring the 1200 uterus?

the ca18det takes a while to start ( 10 mins ) no joke , then wonce running revs fine till around ( dont have tacko) 2800 rpm and dies
if driving and i hold it on full throttle it dies but gets some bangs pops out the exorst like arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr bang arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr bang bang arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr i hope my smelling of the sound makes sence

any ideas if some one gets it right ill give em a carton

jshop had it for a week and no answer

because motors are like a grand i dont wanna spend heaps on like coil packs amf tps ect ect and then find if i brought a hole motor it would of been the same $$$

Sound slike an ecu/injector issue to me. Maybe your injectors are fouled or blocked and arent regulating fuel properly. I don't think it would be afr, because you'd probably notice a differences accross the board, not just above 2800rpm. Also another simple thiing to check is the coil itself....

Yeh check fuel pressure. I doubt it would be spark related becuase it would cut out if it lost spark.

Sounds like timing to me though. So take your cam covers off and double check your cam timing. Then ignition (donno if these run a dizzy or what). Maybe even leads are ass to peak? If you really desperatly need a hand i spose i could come down on the weekend sometime.

ok i have brought new plugs, fuel pump, and i can get a set of coil packs so ill install em tomorro morning .. if its not running buy saturday arvo i might see wat your up too chris

its the other one sorry dont know the name

and i would be working on it right noe but the car is at vicpark ( dads place )

it is a dizzy but they call it a crank angle sensor cause it senses when it needs to fire on each coil and sends the signal to the coil that needs to fire
to me it sounds like it retarded HEHEHE i do mean the timing tho

ooooooooooookkkkkkkkkkkkkk shes all good it was hard to start because the plugs where hell sh1t

it wouldnt rev past 2800rpm because the air flow metre was stuffed .. i borrowed one to test it

so monday off to get a air fow metre

so happy
