Gearbox is in :D that only took 3 weeks :P

Cleaned up a bit more and put the radiator in, plumbed it all up and started filling it, all going OK. Two leaks  one was an non tightened clamp but the other was me trying to get away with using 13mm heater hose where i should be using 10mm radiator hose. So need get 10mm hose then the water systems all good.

post pic tomorrow. :D

Haha! I'm having fun trying to get one in now! Next time I'll lower the motor and gearbox in together.

Fixed up some hoses and fitted the clutch pushrod. Still cant get the tailshaft to bolt to the diff. Quite annoying.

def be dropping it all in as one next time around.

Just got back from my honeymoon in Thailand, it was unreal but ill skip the details ;)

This weekend planning to start the motor. It still needs the tailshaft bolted to the diff, radiator mounted properly, clutch bled and gearbox oil but the motor itself just needs oil and a battery and she "should" :? start...

Ill be sure to vid it so either way explosion or smooth running ill put it up on Youtube.

Went to start her up today...

Seems i need to buy a new battery, stole one out of another car but it doesnt have enough charge to sit and crank for a minute straight. Given my poverty stricken status post honeymoon it may be a month until i can buy one
:x

Man that is disappointing...can you jump start it from another car or charge the existing battery?

Discovered the issue today, the gasket between the carb and manifold is shot to hell and is leaking fuel like a bitch. So ill be tracking down the gasket ive got kicking around somewhere and swap that and she should start no worries.

Tried to bleed the clutch with a mate, neither of us have done it before.

Failure :p rang JP510 for help but we're muppets and somehow still couldnt get it right.

It wont be long now :)

TO DO:

1. Change gasket
2. bleed clutch
3. bolt up tailshaft (somehow :P )
4. mount radiator properly.
5. Jack it down and start it up properly :)

Hopefully over in a good weekends work :D
