Post subject:  Photos of Datsun 510/1600 you like

I thought i'd start a thread about Datsun 1600/510's that our members like
Might be a bit of fun to see what's out there, and what sort of cars people would plaster on their garage wall...

PLEASE KEEP TO THE TOPIC (must be as the topic states!)
Photos do justice. Please explain why you like the car and any history if you know about it. Try and keep photos smaller than 640x480. Should be a bit of fun! Might also get the creative juices flowing on some Datsun owners.

I will start here...
'047' (from a Japanse 510 website). I like this car because it has the old school wheels, and lowered nicely. Nice amount of chrome, colour is nice (but white is better :D) and the front lip is pretty sexy too. :D Not sure what engine is in there, but would be hoping a nice balanced L18 with twin SU's (none of this Italian weber stuff.. )

Here's another one (yes in white this time!)
This car is from the USA, and I think used to have Volk TE-37 wheels on it (or is it the other way around?). From memory this was at the Infiniti factory where the local Datsun 510 club held a meet. (I think...)
Nice car with wheels that just look 'right' (to me at least). Engine bay looks sweet and love the 'Nismo stripe' down the side.

Nik, you have great taste in 1600s
the white one was in Fast Fours or HOT4's a while ago, a double feature with the brown one sitting next to it
when it was in the mag it had a 73 grille in it, looked tuff as

Here's one I loike
Twin sidedraughts (probably Mikuni's, as its from Japan)
The nice taillights
JDM interior
Wheel Fitment
theres only 2 things I'd change on it....
-the overiders
-the lip

That's Mario Lozano's car from TSR Fabrications in Gardena California - just down the rd from the Nissan HQ and about 45 mins drive from LAX. I've been to his workshop twice and drool every time I see that car :D. It's got a nice 2.2 stroker SR in it now (built by Tomei Japan from memory). If anyone is ever wants to drop in and meet him, I'll give you the details. He's a cool (yet crazy) guy!

Niiiiiccce.
Owned by an American called Gary Jervis. I love the show/race look, and the misses like this one cause it's black & white (bloody pies supporters). And it still runs an L SERIES. More pics here http://www.510garage.com/photos/thumbnails.php?album=66

Guy's....show cars are O.K, but this is what it all about..........

No1, Is Benny Baldric, The reason 1600 shells are very hard to find in Tassie!! Wild man....This was '06, the new shell is ready to rally, so watch out!!

No.2 is Hugh Bell's 13B powered 1600, very competitive in the Mid 80's ARC. Hugh was known as a sick, sick man on the gravel.

No 3 Is Marty's L18 (2.4L, no I'm not joking!!) PRC legal 1600, which is used as the zero car for the Tas Rally Series.

No.4 is local legend Balt's 1600, which as the NW coast's best known, and fastest 1600 for over 10 years. It had the best of everything, and won everything.

Brings back memories. I used to get out in the forests watching rallies in the '80's - Hugh Bell was a crowd favourite :D

I remember seeing him in (I think ?) the Dunlop 2GO in the forests round Gosford where he was soundly beating the likes of imported "guest" driver Malcolm Wilson, who was driving a works?? escort and Colin Bond in a V8 engined TR7. Well, was leading anyway before crashing out
