P1 times show 1:07.86 for the Gazelle so could be a "typo" i guess.

some footage here http://www.youtube.com/results?search_q ... e_uploaded
first 8 videos shot on the main straight with an incar camera so are pretty small, mostly groups 2 & 3
Len I think there is some of your car there.
last 4 are my incar.

cheers.

Jeff I'd be happy to supply a sample of coolant to be tested

I'm not sure if I did a 1:01 or not, but given my other times were in the early 1:06's so I just don't know. I did get a few laps hooked up right before encountering either traffic or coolant from the XJS. I'll try to get out there again before the resurfacing with a few more tweaks to see if I can post a consistant series of 1:05's or better in a group of similar cars rather than lapping the group every session.

Nice Pics Len. Any of my old bus?

Another way to check lap times after the event is using the video footage timing marker. Cut the footage at the start line of each lap and note the time stamp. The camera never lies.

no offence, but if you suddenly managed to go 5 or 6 seconds a lap faster you would know about it!

I really must get an exhaust on the 1200 and get it out there!

My doubt is on all of the times if it's hand timed. I've been at QR doing hand timing that was 2 secs fast compared to the official times so I really don't trust it. I'm keen to get something like a Alfana working in my car so I can get splits and independant timing.

HAHA !
we test blood, not urine, bring us a fuel sample !
Dave in the VW reckons your petrol is better than his, i dunno how that could be though if your just running straight 98 like your told him. but he was running caltex or ampol or something, so might have something to do with it ?

Some fast times there compared with the old Datto 'training' days, glad to see all you Datto blokes made it through unbent, four others didn't apparently.

No worries, I'll supply a "clean" sample right away, just have to get rid of this empty Toluline barrel first

It's just Shell V-Max 98 (not even V-Max Racing 100) so it's available pretty much everywhere. It's what my motor is tuned for so it's all I use and I've found it very good, haven't had to clean the injectors yet, unlike 1 batch of dodgy BP from Yatala.

Sorry roger no pix from the disk i was given

The timeing is all done with a beam , the timing crew just key in the number of the car as it cracks the beam

i look forward to the next run out there , 1 went out there to learn the track and keep the car straight for leyburn and was happy with my time . i ran 5 lb boost all day so i will as my mates in the jags say .... "Dial up some more horsepower "

when i was there they were using the old system they had at QR - where they click the mouse as the cars cross the line - the PC is effectively the stopwatch. there's no timing beam. that sounds like Paul's TimeAttack system.

I have about 15l of a 20l drum of Shell Tolulene left if you're after some? sell it for a carton of carlton mid
