Hey guys,
just a quick question. putting a ca18det into a 1200 ute.
i was goiong to rebuild the a14 in it, finish body work, drive it, finish time on p's and then throw the ca in it.
i tought about this for a while then decided i'll buy a shitkicker and drive that and spend the 2 n a bit years on the 1200, that way it;s not rushed. take my time and do it all right.
of course not being registed (or roadworthy) once i am done with the conversion how do i go about engineering a un-registed vehicle?
is it harder, or, Whats the deal?

thanks, Ben.

Registration shouldn't affect how hard it is to engineer the vehicle. The engineer is essentially there to ensure you have met any relevant ADRs and to say that the car is up to scratch for registration.

also talk to an engineer before you start and ask heeps of questions on how "they" would do it, this could save a lot of time, money and a lot less hassels...
