Thanks for your comments, things have been a bit slow lately due to lack of funds but will slowly chip away!

I think an update is well and truely overdue! Things are going pretty well so far. The engine bay is painted the motor and box are back in for good, all the engine wiring is done. Just need to run a new fuel line and a internal fuel pump is being fitted to my tank so start up day is getting ever so close!! Almost have front suspension sorted. Just need a moustache bar made for the rear end and that can all go back in. The 180 has been fitted with an alarm and central locking just need to fit the solenoids which is proving difficult. Anyway here are some photos for your viewing pleasure :D

Nice ride.

Great choice color for the engine bay. I am doing same. Black is easier to keep clean and looking good. Clear colours fade and are prone to daubbing and smudging with oily stuff and road grime.

Cheers :cheers

Keep up the good work. It'll be awesome to drive when it's sorted. My turbo 180B can really piss off WRX drivers by being just as fast as them on our winding Great Ocean Road... in the rain. (One later came up to me and asked incredulously "What the **** have you done to that thing?!"). In the dry it takes a well tweaked WRX to stay with me.....

Thanks for your comments guys! Also Jamie not sure if you knew or not but I'm Datto_610 from the NZ Datsun forum. I have my adjustable front suspension pretty much sorted now and man its low! The engine crossmember is roughly 113mm off the ground at the lowest adjustment on the sleeve. In NZ the lowest we can legally go is 100mm off the ground from the crossmember. I have 205/65/15's on at the moment but will be most likely be running 195/55/15's when I get the wheels I want to run which might bring it down a tad more. I took a shot of how low the front is at the moment no doubt I'll end up raising it a bit but thats fine with me. I wont get the sleeves welded onto the strut yet until I get the wheels and tyres I want to use then I'll double check everything. :D

That 90 degree steel bend is for a custom dump I'm going to have made. The factory CA pipe was rather close to the idler arm I probably could've gotten away with using it but just wanted to be safe.

Hi Gren.

I did not know you are the same person as in the NZ Dat forum. Good to know. Your car is looking awesome

Indeed that low stance is great. With the tyres and wheels you have in mind then you will be able to calibrate your suspension.

Can't wait to see it rolling !

Cheers.
