hopefully that one will last a long time, maybe if it goes again you can put a small can booster in there ? |

I noticed a can of dulux paint in there, what kind of paint is it, enamel, house paint or what, and did you use a clear coat or sealing coat or anything like that? Cheers Chris |

It probably would've been quicker to cut the inlet manifold and weld it back when you're done What about removing the inlet manifold? (Hindsight is a wonderful thing!) |

Well after boiling the brakes at lakeside and the lack of much time to cool the brakes down after a racing i have fitted some new brake pads and some cooling ducts from the holes in the spoiler to the caliper ill see how well it works at lakeside this weekend |

AAaaahhh.. It's like music to my ears. Hit the track, something doesn't work, so tweak it and test it next event. Keep us updated. |

Len, have you changed to braided lines ? if you still have brake fade issues change the lines and use some decent fluid. I am running motul rbf600. cheers Jeff |

What pads are you running now Len? Still the stock TRX stoppers? Love the ducting. I'm also a fan of the Motul RBF600. When I was chasing the Datto pack last time I put too much balance to the front & cooked them. Let it all cool, adjusted & next session they were back to full strength. I've had Castrol DOT5.1 go spongy after a heavy braking session & not recover well in the next run. |

that plastic ducting is going to melt! Penrite Sin 600 degree fluid is about half the price of Motul RBF. Worked great in the old R32 GTR that had major brake fade problems at QR. My other cars (1200 coupe & Supra) don't suffer brake fade so I just use normal Dot4 fluid in them. braided lines will have no affect on brake fade. Lucas/TRW pads are about the best of the normal road pads for trackday use. But Gainsey probably already put you onto them. can't wait for Saturday! |

yeah the braided lines will flex less, so technically i suppose they reduce the spongy feeling rather than reduce fade. in the end bigger fatter rotors might be the answer if the brakes keep going away. are your rotors solids or vented ? |
