This was a weapon in its' day, I remember a trip to the Snowy Mts in December 83, trout fishing with a mate and we took it from Cooma to Kiandra on the Snowy Mts Hwy. We were timing the 5km markers by the roadside at about 1min30secs...

Good eye for detail there SX, my mate's Duke was a '75 right foot change model, and was the machine that Ron Boulden won the '75 NGK Aust Superbike Champs on. It had Imola cams (wouldn't idle without blipping the throttles), high mount Imola pipes, Arias pistons, open ram pipes etc etc. Over the years he's had a 450 one-lunger, a 600 Pantah which he rebuilt as a Harris-framed TT2 replica, the 900SS pictured, and currnetly has a multi award winning '74 Green Frame 750, an Aermacchi GP racer, and is building a road-going Paul Smart 750 clone. He claims the problem is that because he can fit so many m'cycles in a car-sized garage, there's no way out of it! :giggle: . . .
