Hey guys,

Before heading over to Perth on Friday, I wanted my tuner to finish off the Sunny. Prior to the last race meeting we ran out of time on the dyno, and although I was happy, I knew there was a better tune to be had.

So off to the dyno last night I went in 32 degree heat (good tuning weather to get ready for Perth)

After running a base line, we adjusted the cam timing and ended up with 309.9rwhp (or around 235rwkw) at just over 5,000rpm. Not bad for an engine that has to run a 36mm restrictor! :o

He also started mapping the boost pressure relative to throttle position, to try and make the car easier to drive through the corners, I really need to play with this a little more on a test day to fine tune, but it's a start.

I will post the results once I get a chance to scan it in tonight.

Look out WA!

Not quite sure yet, will have a look at the calender and see when there is a test day planned to get out there and learn the track. Need to get a few things sorted out once I get there before I can start spending $$$ on racing.

nice work mark. did you find much to be had in adjusting the cams using the cam gears? i have a very similar setup to yours and am interested in the value of adjustable gears.

oh and have you moved to perth for good? the ipra nationals are in vic this year, are you attending?

Anth..... couldn't do it to myself.... i don't want to know how much it could make without the restrictor.

Lag.... unlikely that i will be at the nationals, but you never know! Definate gains to be had with cam gears. We advanced the inlet 3 degrees and retarded the exhaust 2 degrees.

Car got picked up by the transport company today. Older guy drove car on the trailer....nearly sh*t himself!

I have put a 3,000rpm rev limit on the engine whilst in transport. Hopefully that should stop any dicks doing burn outs etc.
