Perhaps it's just me, being a grumpy old prick, but I am sick of seeing CA and SR conversions everywhere. I like seeing the old A series being given a go. They sound wicked at full noise with webers/solex etc. I don't mind the L series either. It takes a fair bit to destroy them but apparrently it doesn't take much to unhinge a CA or SR!! Go the A banger's.
I totally agree, i'm sick of seeing CA and SR conversions. I'd love to know where you can get performance parts for the A-series engines though, apart from weber/SU/solex/holley carbs and manifolds, and extractors. Other than that, I haven't seen any internal parts openly advertised anywhere.

RITE YOU ARE. Ive got a 1200 sedan 4 door. I kept the a12 boosted it. Goes hard. My plan is to find an a14 and fully build that for turbo 20~25 psi Something different to everyone else. |

I have a 2 door sedan still restoring it. i know of one other in brisbane. afew years ago one was sold from brisbane and went to the usa. there a photo of it the earlyer post its the white one with hub caps. I know there was one cut up in nsw as i now have the all the parts from that car. a red one turned up in perth not long ago. So how many are we up to? 8 still left? |
