well i have actually been doing some work on it as i have cut almost all the rust out of it and have mocked up the rear wheel arches to show what it will look like when i weld them in, as there was nothin left of them. All i did was use the front fenders which was stuffed and cut what i needed off of it an will use it to fill the rear

and in a few weeks i i should start welding all the parts in and then will have to find some more body parts

all i need is the fron cowling behind the bonnet, bonnet and fenders off of an 81 model, boot, doors and a few bits and bobs here and there

so this is what it looks like on the other side compared to the side i have just replaced the wheel arch

all i did was cut the wheel arch out of the front gaurd as it was crap except the bits i needed for the rear and just weld right in and it gives it a bit of flare and looks heaps better i think. I cant believe something actually worked out right....hmmm something must be wrong hahahaha

i am doing both but just havent got there yet i only had 2 hours to do that! and hopefully more time tomorrow to play, this time i have a helmet to use instead of closing my eyes. My forehead tis a little burnt but not bad for onceas i had it on its lowest setting. Not a bad little machine but i would have prefered the other one which is heaps better but hey i got it for a while which is good

the welder is a gas/gasless mig, though i wouldnt go for the gasless as it doesnt work really well but as soon as you put gas with it it works awesome

hey loving the idea of running the front arch's at the rear... as soon as i read that i had to go look at mine!! hahaha did you still need pics of the front end without lights etc? i can run out to the shed and grab some if you like? as the fronts all unbolted... are you going to be using the 79 or 81 bumpers? because i'm looking for some 79's... and i've got 81's here, tho they'd need to be repaired, no rust or anything just slightly bent either side after the mounts due to a couple of granny nocks...

i have photos now, and am keeping the bumpers i got just need the rubber bits that go on them. Thwe fenders are the 79 model and am not sure if the 81 model is the same but they come out then just staying flush like the rear, i was surprised that it all worked out

i have got crap loads to do still, and alot of cutting stuff to fill up the holes....the list goes on but i feel like i am getting somewhere so all is good. I only cut the front fenders cause they where crap and rusted out adn the fact i am converting it back to the 81 model
