Well the front comes up at 345 rears 325 they reckon 340 and no changing it! Everything else passed but that damn it and wouldn’t let me get away with it even though it doesn’t go anywhere near fouling the rear of the car from the height. I also saw the book with the heights for datsun 200b but couldn’t show difference between sx or sedan or sss.
I also bought these springs from you and they still insist im wrong!

easy to swap some stock/taller springs back in and get it passed. Then put the lower ones back in when you get home...

We had this problem with TSA re SX steering wheel dia.
Need to get the specs for 200BSX SSS suspension from shop manual & show them.

I take it that you did not need an engineers report for the SR conversion?
If you had then the suspension would have been covered by the report.
Either way it is easy to over come.

15mm rubber spacer under the rear spring seat.
no need to remove the spring, just extend the rear strut & insert a cut/ split spacer.

no I didn’t need a engineers report, I just needed a full test and inspect on the installation of modded parts I made myself ,emisions results, Speedo results all beforehand and dyno result printed out to give the inspector. I had my genuine Nissan workshop manual there but said he couldn’t find the specs in it and "there book says these specs" is basicly what I got.
I also have no idea of the spacer you speak of.

Remember baz im not independent rear i got axle with coils on shockers.
From my guess you were referring too rubber bushings on the 1600 and 180b independent spring seats to raise the car?
or is there a variant for mcpherson struts that you were refering too?

Doug, you cut a ring out off an old tyre or similar to fit your spring saddle,
split it, drop the bottom bolt off the rear shock & fit the spacer between spring & saddle.
temp fix to get thro inspection.

Right on mate.

The waiting is well worth.

With the Series 1 SX front grille and the upholstery it will look bloody right.

Cheers.
