Hi, This is my first post here. I bought a 260z 2+2 this weekend (for ANZAC Day!!). It was restored a while ago and left to sit in the shed. It has twin carb L26 and 5 speed manual transmission. The radiator needs attention. Will post more pics soon. Took a few when I got it home. I am not sure about how 'original' it is. But no rust. Will get it going soon, when I get the radiator sorted. Cheers, Shiva Perth,WA |

Sexy... Is the paint good in real life as well? I know how deceptive photos can be with paintwork, but it looks pretty good. |

Cheers for the replies guyZ, This is a larger picture. The car was restored by the previous 15 years and left in the shed. The engine number is the same from when it was bought new (on the sale receipt). But I don't know what's a matching number!! Engine:L26168305 VIN: GRS30016079 Plans: Have to get it on the road with the L26, then look at tweaking it up. |

Its a matching number car, if it has the original engine it left the factory with. To check that, the engine number on the ID tag in the engine bay matches the number stamped on the engine. |

Matching numbers basically means that when you replace the motor with an rb26dett, store the factory L26 in the shed instead of hocking it off on ebay. |

Yeah, where it can seize and be of no use to anyone...Keep the L26, rb's are for skylines |

Looks like a FJ20 will go in sooner......how easy/how difficult,time should tell. I am hoping,if the FJ20 is a 2 litre engine, I wouldn't have to get it over the pits in WA,as I am going down from 2.6 to 2.0!! |
